It is strongly recommended that the official cancel YAMV2, invalidate YAMV2, give the exchange 2 days to migrate YAMV2 to YAMV3, and invalidate YAMV2 if the migration is not overdue!
Indeed, the advantage of this is that exchanges that already have v2 must open v3
The reason people don’t migrate is because they can still yield farming with YAMV2. However, there is nothing they can do with YAMV3. The YAMV3 token has no utility.
Also, yiled farming with YAMV3 has siginificantly higher risks than farming with V2, because there is no treasury taking money from the LPs.
At the end of the day, this is not a big issue. The V2 farming pools at Sushiswap and Sakeswap will be closed or the APY will drop to a very low figure, so eventually V2 will follow the price movement of V3. It is not a very diffuclt math.
